Community Food Systems Projects

Food Works has created two major projects to gather and disseminate information that is vital to the creation and maintainance of a viabble and sustainable local food system.

Community Food Assessment

Food Works launched an extensive Community Food Assessment (CFA) in 2008 to determine the strengths and weaknessess of the current practices inovlved in food production and consumption in Southern Illinois. A report detailing the results and conclusions of the assessment will be available this Fall.

Local Food Documentary

Food Works is filming a documentary highlighting the past, present and future conditions of the local food system in Southern Illinois.
