Who should join the Regional Farming Network?

Network members are farmers and individuals dedicated to promoting the development of local food systems in Southern Illinois through sustainable farming practices, farmer support, and training. Members are:

  • Committed to sustainable farming
  • Willing to share knowledge and provide opportunities for learning
  • Willing to learn
  • Committed to building community among sustainable farmers in Southern Illinois

What kind of Network membership is right for you?

  • Farm membership is for individuals, families or businesses with a farm name that are currently marketing at least one farm product to the public. This type of membership allows all individuals working on the farm to participate in Network events free of charge.
  • Supporting membership is available for those who do not have a farm or are not marketing farm products, but who wish to be part of the network and participate in Network events free of charge.

Membership cost

The Network annual membership fee is $20 regardless of membership type. Membership entitles you to free admission to all Network field days (held from March to November), a copy of the 2012 Network Farm Directory, and all Network communications. In addition, Farm Members will be listed on the Network page of the Food Works Website.
